We are pleased to announce that Brian Brosnan, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with ACT, has been elected as a member of the New Hanover County Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee.

Members: 13 mandated by the State (up to 18 allowed);  appointed by County Commissioners . The Adult Care Home Administrators may nominate 1/3 of the membership.  One member should be involved in the area of mental retardation.

Terms: Appointments are made for one-year terms initially; three-year terms thereafter.

Purpose: The Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee supports the spirit of the Adult Care Home Resident's Bill of Rights, visits adult care homes quarterly, promotes the well being of residents, and encourages community involvement. Meetings: Meetings are held quarterly on the first Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at the Cape Fear Council of Governments, 1480 Harbour Drive , Wilmington , NC .
